Job Description

As a Blockchain Operations Engineer, you will be entrusted with the maintenance and upkeep of the Axelar Network. You will take full ownership of the network and its functionalities, ensuring seamless operations. Collaborate with Business Development and Product teams to prioritize various initiatives related to the network and contribute to the development of tooling for the network.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage Releases and Upgrades: Oversee releases and coordinate network upgrades in collaboration with our validators.
• Develop Tooling: Develop and refine tools for network deployment, monitoring, security, and other operations-related functions.
• Governance: Lead the governance of the network, including managing the delegation program.
• Security Enhancement: Strengthen our security stance and refine protocols for offline signing.
• Infrastructure Improvement: Enhance infrastructure and deployment processes to boost the team's agility and speed.
• Internal Tooling Enhancement: Improve and iterate on internal tools that our protocol engineers use for developing new features.

Your Profile

• Cryptography Proficiency: A solid understanding of cryptography.
• Scripting and Tooling: Experience in Javascript/Golang scripting and tooling.
• Blockchain Management: Experience managing a blockchain network and overseeing upgrades.
• Containers and Kubernetes: Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes in a cloud environment.
• Monitoring and Alerting Tools: Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and similar tools.
• CI/CD: Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools.
• Security-first Mindset: A security-first approach to coding and deployment.
• Blockchain/DeFi Understanding: Comprehension of blockchains and DeFi as a user.
• Cosmos SDK: Experience with the cosmos SDK and cosmos-based networks.
• IBC Protocol: Familiarity with the IBC protocol.
• Validator/Node Operation: Experience in operating validators or nodes for various blockchains.
• Ownership and Leadership: Strong ownership qualities with the ability to lead and share knowledge collaboratively and the enthusiasm to learn.
• Hands-on Problem Solver: A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and envisions successful outcomes.
