What We Are Looking For

Hume is on the hunt for a skilled DevOps Engineer to design and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure for rolling out applications, services, and AI/ML models. Collaborating closely with Hume’s innovative and technical teams, you will streamline deployments, manage cloud ecosystems, and ensure systems are highly available and perform optimally. We aim to create digital artists that are lively and genuinely creative. Cloud Infrastructure Management

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud environments (GCP experience preferred) for deploying applications, services, and AI/ML models.
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency while maintaining high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions using services such as GCE, API Gateway, Cloud Run, and Kubernetes.

CI/CD Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and scaling of machine learning models and full-stack applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration of code from multiple teams (ML, backend, frontend) through automated pipelines and version control systems (Git).
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Monitoring and Incident Management

  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
  • Implement automated health checks, error tracking, and incident response processes to ensure system reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement long-term solutions to avert recurrence.

Security and Compliance

  • Ensure system security by employing best practices, including setting up firewalls, encryption, and access control mechanisms.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning and automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • 2+ years of experience for senior roles in designing and developing online and production-grade ML systems.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in a startup environment, thriving in fast-paced settings, and taking complete ownership of workflows.
  • Knowledge of Web3 technologies and decentralized systems.

Compensation

  • $110,000 - $130,000 annually
  • The actual annual salary offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, training, company needs, and current market demands.
  • The annual salary range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future. This position may also be eligible for salary increases, bonuses, equity awards, and benefits.
