At Octav, You’ll Have Impact

You won’t merely build pipelines—you’ll help shape the future of financial data in Web3, driving decisions for DAOs, hedge funds, and protocols across the globe. Being part of a small, agile team means your contribution will directly influence how on-chain financial analytics are constructed, expanded, and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implement: Develop robust data pipelines to support our product initiatives, handling ETL processes from diverse sources.
• Automate Workflows: Modernize data workflows and integrate machine learning models to boost data accuracy and efficiency.
• Optimize Infrastructure: Manage and enhance our AWS-hosted services to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work with the CTO to improve data architecture and server functionality, while supervising technical resource allocation.
• Stay Informed: Keep up to date with the latest in DeFi and emerging trends to drive innovative data practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Location: Must be based in Montreal, Canada.
• Startup Readiness: Bring flexibility, initiative, and a robust work ethic. This role offers more than a 9-to-5 job; it's a chance to build something major.
• Technical Expertise: Over 10 years as a full stack developer with strong proficiency in TypeScript or Python, testing frameworks (Jest or PyTest), and excellent SQL skills.
• Proven AWS Experience: Familiarity with services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda. Experience with Apache Kafka or Airflow is highly desirable.
• Leadership Qualities: Strong communication and mentoring abilities, with experience leading projects and guiding junior engineers.
