Job Description

We are crafting BOB, a hybrid Layer 2 solution that merges the strengths of Bitcoin and Ethereum. We are on the lookout for an adept Senior Cryptography Engineer to assist with the design, execution, and launch of an innovative BitVM bridge infused with Bitcoin's security.

The Role

You take pride in proactively pinpointing and solving engineering challenges by utilizing your cryptographic expertise. As a leader, you will oversee the implementation and enhancement of the cryptographic building blocks (such as SNARKs, Winternitz signatures, etc.) for the BitVM bridge. Collaborating closely with the core team, you will delve into research problems and be a reliable contact for advancing BOB.

What You Will Do

• Architect and develop the BOB Bitcoin bridge using BitVM, in close partnership with the core team.
• Design and create the BOB Bitcoin security framework in coordination with Babylon and the core team.
• Engage in research discussions with the core team on BOB core protocols.
• Share knowledge about cryptography and Bitcoin best practices with fellow team members.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years' hands-on experience with Rust development.
• One year of experience in deploying protocols into production using advanced cryptographic techniques (such as SNARKs, STARKS, MPC) with quantifiable Total Value Locked (TVL).
• Strong passion for Bitcoin, including knowledge of Bitcoin script, BitVM, and Taproot.
• Outstanding communication skills in a remote work environment.
