At Octav, You’ll Make an Impact

At Octav, you won’t just be developing ETL pipelines—you’ll play an essential role in revolutionizing how financial analytics are delivered to Web3 organizations. You'll be pivotal in designing systems that influence decisions for DAOs, hedge funds, and asset managers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL pipelines to convert raw data into clean, structured datasets.
• Optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) for low latency and high availability.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases to ensure efficient querying, indexing, and performance.
• Build automated data validation, cleansing, and enrichment routines to maintain data quality.
• Integrate machine learning models into production pipelines, ensuring precise and consistent inference.
• Collaborate with the Principal Software Engineer and product teams to align data systems with project objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be based in Montreal, Canada.
• Ready for startup life—flexibility, initiative, and a strong work ethic are crucial. This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to craft something impactful.
• 5+ years as a Data Engineer, with a focus on ETL workflows and database optimization.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and familiarity with tools like Apache Airflow or Step Functions.
• Experience with data ingestion frameworks (Apache Kafka) and machine learning integration is a bonus.
• Basic understanding of DeFi concepts and Web3 data to contextualize your work.
