Established in 2017, Aragon released the first DAO framework, securing over $35 billion in assets for prominent platforms like Lido and Curve. Currently, we are developing Aragon OSx, a toolkit for launching secure and modular organizations, utilized by projects such as Polygon and Taiko.

The Role

As a frontend engineer at Aragon, you will join our App Team. Your mission is to build a highly scalable web application to interface with the Aragon OSx smart contract framework. It serves as the cornerstone for creating and managing modular digital organizations. We seek candidates with proven experience in delivering open source software within the Ethereum ecosystem. Your enthusiasm for demonstrating the feasibility and value of onchain governance is essential.

• You effortlessly translate user needs into production-ready code and understand the diverse users of your product, such as DAO builders, voters, and degens. You eagerly seek feedback to improve their participation in DAOs.
• Comfortable taking ownership of a segment of our stack, setting best practices, and becoming the “go-to” professional while mentoring junior developers.
• Eager to collaborate with specialists and departments, broadening your understanding of the evolving web3 technologies.
• Actively engaged throughout the discovery and development pipeline—from working with UX/UI designers, creating prototypes to implementation, documentation, deployment, and live maintenance—focusing on superior quality delivery.
• A collaborative nature; you review code to understand team efforts, elevate the quality of commits, and engage in active learning. You know when and how to proactively address your teammates' challenges during daily standups.

⚠️ Minimum Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Typescript and React.js/Next.js
• Proven track record with open source software launched in the Ethereum ecosystem
• Proficient in design principles, working in tandem with UX teams and adhering to design systems
• Capable of promoting and enforcing robust development practices like testing (unit, integration, e2e), clean coding standards, and comprehensive documentation
• Experienced in agile environments, familiar with git flows, and adept at using tools like Jira and GitHub
• Proficient in both written and oral English communication
• Available to attend quarterly offsite gatherings, typically in Europe, for in-person team collaboration
• Passionate about the transformative potential of DAOs and their influence on collaborative problem-solving

💡 Bonus Skills

• Experience writing smart contracts in Solidity
• Familiarity with projects featuring module or plugin systems
